VII. Jesus stumbles the second time

Hard and pitiless is the pavement, up leads the street, the heat between the walls of the city is unbearable.

Close to his eyes Jesus sees the cobblestones, rough-hewn and put together by men. Heavy is the cross-beam, heavy is also His hand and arm, not able to support His body anymore.

But the way is not yet finished as the beam continues to bear down upon him, pointing the way upon the rough road.
