VI. Veronica wipes Jesus' face with a cloth

Pressed to a wall a girl stands, wedged in the crowd. Jesus passes by very closely. She looks into His eyes, recognizing the fatigued man with sweat and blood running down his face.

Without a word she stretches out her hands with a cloth. With a heartfelt gesture, she compassionately wipes his face. Quite innocently she is doing it, but it brings her the matchless Image of the Lord.
