V. Simon of Cyrene is forced to carry Jesus' cross

Forced by soldiers, Simon unwillingly reaches for the heavy beam. Where and how should he hold it? Why him, who has worked in the fields all morning?

He will have to turn and go back the way from which he just has come, the heavy load on his shoulders, which Jesus cannot bear alone.
